About My Clients
I provide somatic, trauma informed therapy for individuals, couples, ethical non-monogamy, families and non-traditional families, and provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ and kink. I believe in the innate ability we all have to heal and find meaningful connection in relationship, with self and others. Navigating relationships, past trauma, healthy conflict, communication, anxiety symptoms, somatic concerns and connection to ourselves and others is of interest to me.
My Background and Approach
I am an advanced level trainee for certification in Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and a bottom up perspective of gaining greater access to our experiences. My approach is client centered, collaborative, and experiential, with interest in development, attachment, and trauma, and how those impact our experiences currently. I received a Bachelor’s of Art Therapy from Capital University, and a Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Sofia University (formerly The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the innate ability we all have to heal and find meaningful connection in relationship, with ourselves, with others, and with a therapist in a therapeutic relationship. I also believe that the expert in therapy is not the therapist, but the individual(s) who know themselves the best and having a partner in therapy is helpful, not because of a hierarchy of knowledge, but from having another present to witness and experience right along with us, getting curious about beliefs and patterns that inform our current experiences and relationships.
