Life events can be overwhelming, even if they are expected, and especially when they are not. I can assist you with navigating through these changes by focusing on identify possible barriers that enable success and promote fear, as well as enhancing adaptation and resiliency skills. These are the necessary skills needed to pivot through difficult or unexpected times.

When working with clients who suffer from depression, it is important to identify thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that result in the disease's vicious cycle. With effective coping skills and positive thinking strategies, we can collaborate in improving your mood.

I identify anxiety as a perception of a fear. Together, we will work to identify triggers, warning signs and effective coping skills that will make they symptoms of anxiety more manageable.

One of my therapeutic approaches is person-centered therapy. I am passionate about providing a space where my clients feel heard and valued. I have had tremendous success throughout my professional career implementing client led therapy sessions. As the client discusses their goals, we place emphasis on strengths and promote a non-judgemental alliance.

With the use of CBT, the client learns how their Thoughts are connected the feelings, which is connected to our behaviors. Often times, we behave n a certain manner because of what or how we perceive the incident.

I use CBT most often in my work. I believe that change happens when you change your thoughts, which will affect your feelings and your feelings will dictate your behavior. While CBT is the foundation of my work, I employ other strategies to achieve the changing of a person's mind (perspective).
