About My Clients
I work best with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from carrying too much. Many are navigating anxiety, trauma, addiction recovery, grief, relationship stress, or major life transitions. If you’re hard on yourself, people-pleasing, or coping in ways that no longer work, we’ll build healthier tools, strengthen confidence, and help you feel more grounded and in control.
My Background and Approach
I’m Amber Gregory, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Pathway to Wellness, PLLC. I bring 26+ years of experience in social work across community and correctional settings, which means you’ll get support that’s grounded, practical, and focused on real-life results. I specialize in anxiety, PTSD/trauma, addiction and recovery, grief, relationship stress, and major life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and mindfulness to help you reduce overwhelm, break unhelpful patterns, and build coping skills you can use between sessions. When appropriate, I incorporate EMDR and trauma-informed care to help lessen the intensity of painful memories and triggers. I’m also trained in Critical Incident Stress Management, and I understand burnout and secondary trauma, especially for helping professionals and first responders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health care should be compassionate, practical, and accessible. I value dignity, cultural humility, and creating a space where you feel safe being fully yourself. I’m especially passionate about supporting helping professionals and first responders, and I volunteer on a local critical incident response team. Outside of therapy, I’m a yoga teacher and mindfulness practitioner, and I often weave calming, evidence-based skills into my work when it fits your goals. I’m also deeply committed to animal welfare and have volunteered in animal rescue and shelter work for many years. If you’re looking for a therapist who cares about resilience, service, and whole-person wellness, you’ll feel at home here.
