My Background and Approach
I have nearly 20 years of experience in working with both children and adults, providing a trustworhty, safe, and non-judgemental setting where indiviudals feel free to be their authentic selves. I take a holistic approach to mental wellness: we are so much more than the "problems" we seek to address in therapy. I enjoy working creatively and collaboratively in sessions that focus on the whole person and the systems of which they are a part. Together, we will work through the concerns that have brought you to therapy, as well as develop tools, techniques, and coping mechanisms to not only overcome these obstacles, but also enhance personal growth and development.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. Many times, our mental health symptoms are simply personal coping skills that we have developed over time: therapy helps us develop new coping skills and provides us a new lens to view our problems with. We are in the same storm, but not the same boat.... No two people have the same set of circumstances, which is why my thearaputic approaches are individualized.
