About My Clients
Do you look strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed underneath? Navigating addiction, grief, HIV, anxiety, or identity changes can make it hard to keep life afloat. If you’ve spent years just surviving and pushing through, you deserve a safe space to be completely honest. I offer a place to learn practical tools and rebuild from a foundation of clarity and self-respect. Healing isn’t about changing who you are it’s about coming home to yourself.
My Background and Approach
My approach is practical, affirming, and collaborative. I integrate CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and parts work to help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why. Together, we identify patterns, triggers, and survival strategies that once protected you but may no longer serve you. I’m structured and intentional in sessions. You won’t just talk—you’ll leave with tools. We’ll build skills for emotional regulation, boundary setting, communication, and self-trust. My goal is for you to feel more grounded, more aware, and more equipped between sessions—not just during them. Whether you’re navigating addiction recovery, HIV acceptance, grief, or identity exploration, we’ll move at a pace that challenges you while still honoring your capacity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about reducing stigma around HIV, substance use, and mental health in Black and LGBTQ+ communities. I believe therapy should be a place where identity is celebrated, not questioned. I support equity-centered movements that promote safety, dignity, and justice. My values center around authenticity, resilience, and self-determination. I strive to practice what I teach, reflection, emotional awareness, and accountability in my own life. Healing matters to me not just professionally, but personally and communally.
