About My Clients
I work with people of all races who identify as or are exploring one or more of the following identities: Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Pansexual, Queer, Asexual, Intersex, Transgender, Agender, or Non-binary. I also support family members as they process their expectations about a loved one's identity. Additionally, I work with people who are Aromantic or are in diverse partnerships such as ethical non-monogamy or alternative relationships informed by BDSM.
My Background and Approach
In therapy, we’ll foster opportunities for you to untangle your authentic voice from the stories and tall tales of other's expectations and larger societal pressures. We will become curious explorers as you learn how to move away from avoidance and toward authenticity. When appropriate, I will invite you to explore experiential avoidance and move bravely toward experiences that induce anxiety, so you can live a life that more closely aligns with your values. Together, we can work to alleviate feelings of loneliness and build more meaningful relationships by focusing on setting healthy boundaries, changing negative thought patterns, and learning to love yourself. It is never too late to discover the power of embracing uncertainty and living a life that you are proud of. You can do this.
