About My Clients
I serve those who want to learn more about themselves to discover what empowers them toward healing and wholeness. You want to be the best version of yourself and seek to implement evidence-based practices and creative ways of being in the world to achieve your highest potential.
My Background and Approach
I have a toolbox full of techniques in mindfulness, changing negative thinking, and managing emotions. I can meet you in the intellectual or we can get really creative with art and dance. What is most important is that you experience being seen and heard for who you are. I have experience as a counselor, dance/movement therapist, nurse practitioner. I have had credentials including Registered-Dance/Movement therapist, Certified Mindfulness Practitioner, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Certification, and have studied motivation interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. I take a psychodynamic approach which means that I use alot of different modalities and theories of practice to simply MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE. That is my goal, to meet you exactly where you are and to determine what is most important to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love animals and volunteer as a docent at my zoo. I do so because the animals have to be there whether or not I'm there to offer education to the public. I am also a volunteer at the Christian Services where I work in food service and provide meals to the homeless. I volunteer as a spiritual director in my church community to offer a listening ear to those seeking a deeper relationship wtih God.
