About My Clients
Because of my own life experience (HI, MTHFR, MCAS, mold poisoning), I work with people with chronic illness. I take a holistic, integrative, and functional approach to mental health, recognizing that our well-being is shaped by biological, psychological, environmental, spiritual, and cultural influences. My clients are seekers who want to heal, and they are looking for someone to walk with.
My Background and Approach
I use my experience as a therapist, educator, and researcher to help my clients to understand and process their life experiences and live happy and healed lives. We all struggle, but we can also all heal! I would be honored to work with you when you are ready to start your healing journey! I offer solution-focused therapy with a sense of humor. We WILL laugh in session, sometimes in spite of the tears. I use CBT, REBT, DBT, somatic and parts work, along with spiritual, existential, and strengths-based approaches—all focused on integrative and holistic approaches. My goal is that you leave sessions feeling more hopeful than when you started.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a red-letter Christian, meaning that I follow the teachings of Christ in the Bible that are attributed directly to him. I feel it is important to love and respect ALL people. And that also means that I fight for all people who are marginalized. I am also down with the woo (IYKYK). I think exploring our spirituality and using that as part of our healing journey is the most important thing we can do. The second most important thing is using that knowledge to help others along the way to continue the healing cycle. That is 100% what I am here for. I also believe that education, training, and experience are important. As such, I have a PhD in psychology (non-licensed), another PhD in human and social services, and 3 Masters degrees. I continue to seek more knowledge to build on my abilities to help others heal.
