About My Clients
I connect best with stressed, anxious, sad, overwhelmed people seeking to feel better about themselves and their relationships. I particularly love working with parents of neurodivergent children. I also have many years of experience helping teens and adults recover from traumatic experiences, both big and small.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) and am Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have also studied Internal Family Systems (IFS) and believe we all have parts of us that impact how we interact with the world. What does all of this mean? I spent a lot of years in school and after graduation studying to be a therapist, how to supervise other play therapists, and how to treat trauma using a brain-based theory that really works! If we decide to work together, I tend to use an integrative approach; meaning I meet you where you are and we decide together what modalit(ies) might help you feel your best.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring a strength-focused approach to my work with adolescents, adults and parents. I also rely on humor and laughter to facilitate the healing process. Finally, I believe in the importance of social justice and equality for all and bring this perspective to my therapeutic work with clients and in my pursuit of advanced training and consultation.
