About My Clients
If you struggle to get through your day, burdened by anxious thoughts and feelings of emptiness and futility, you are in good company. Feelings of low self-worth, loss of identity, lack of purpose, disconnection in relationships, or existential/spiritual angst can have many different origins. These emotions force us to come face to face with life's most difficult questions. If you are tired of living in your own head, I want to help you sort through your thoughts and feelings to find answers.
My Background and Approach
My counseling approach is existential, which means that I work together with you as you confront the hardest parts of existing as a human, and person-centered, which means that our work is guided by your own sense of who you are and where you want to go, with my support along the way. Throughout our time together, I help you build new skills using methods such as CBT and DBT. Both of these methods are geared toward identifying the connections between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and learning to manage them more comfortably and effectively. With an integrative approach, I hope to support you in realigning your mind, body, and spirit, to become more attuned to yourself and the world around you. I hope to assist you in identifying your own patterns, obstacles, and goals. This is hard work, and it would be an honor for me to walk through it with you.
