About My Clients
Being a millennial woman in today’s society really sucks. You are told you should “have and do it all”: a high paying job that you love, perfect children with a partner you never argue with, a thriving social life. It's exhausting, and seems impossible to not compare yourself to others. This is where I come in. I am the therapist for women exactly like you. And together, we will work to increase your self-esteem, improve your relationships, set boundaries and learn to love yourself again.
My Background and Approach
I’m not a regular therapist, I’m a cool therapist. (if you get that ‘Mean Girls’ reference, it’s safe to say we will work well together). But seriously, I do not fit the mold of what most people have come to think of when they think of “therapist.” I am a millennial woman. And I know life for women feels impossible sometimes. I’m approachable, real, and one of the most non-judgmental people you will ever meet. I may have a few letters after my name that make me professionally qualified to talk to you about your thoughts and feelings, but what makes me a good therapist is that therapy with me won’t feel like ‘therapy.’ It is not boring. Or clinical. And when I say I am non-judgmental, I mean it. I promise you can tell me anything (yes, even your deepest, darkest secret that would inspire jaw drops and shame from your judgy friends) – you will not get any judgment from me. Trust and emotional safety is so important to me, and to the therapy process. I’ve got you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Having walked, at times perilously, through my own journey toward healing, I know first hand how hard it can be to ask for help. I also understand that finding happiness, grace, and peace is often simple; it is the precarious trek there – and the challenge of staying there – that prevents us from true happiness. I believe that unconditional support and love, found through our relationships with others, help us grow and thrive. I also believe in the power of therapy. I have experienced anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem and perfectionism, and it was through therapy and my relationships that I learned to manage my thoughts, and start a new, healthier relationship with myself. I would be honored to help you feel better, manage your anxiety, and learn to love yourself. If you want to learn more about how I can help, shoot me a message!
