About My Clients
Sometimes things happen in life that are out of our control. Whether life's circumstances are currently difficult and you're having trouble adjusting or if you have been struggling with an ongoing concern, I would like to help. I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and the effects of past trauma. Together, we'll work to identify and process the negative beliefs & past experiences that keep you feeling stuck in cycles that no longer serve you.
My Background and Approach
Since everyone has different needs and preferences I utilize an eclectic counseling approach and regularly integrate several different counseling styles into the therapeutic process, including: EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based strategies, relaxation skills training, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, communication skill building.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity for positive, healthy change. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control; however, we can learn how to live our best lives, in spite of challenges. I am an LGBTQ ally and believe in the innate equality of all peoples, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.
