About My Clients
I specialize in the impact of trauma, supporting people in healing old wounds while reconnecting them with their inner strengths. I also work with people navigating life’s heavy or challenging moments, including stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
My approach is about seeing you as a whole person and honoring how your relationships, culture, community, and the world around you shape your experience. I believe there are many ways to provide therapy, and we will work together to find what is best for you. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting. These are gentle yet powerful mind-body approaches that support the processing and release of trauma while helping to calm the nervous system.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my favorite things we have learned through brain science is that our brains are capable of change. Neuroplasticity shows us that the brain can create and strengthen new neural pathways throughout our lives. To me, this is a powerful reminder that we are not stuck. I believe that each person has strengths, wisdom, and the capacity for growth within them. Therapy can provide an opportunity to slow down, become curious about who we are and why we respond the way we do, and begin relating to ourselves with greater compassion and acceptance. I also believe that many of our emotional and behavioral patterns have roots in our past , especially the ways we learned to cope and protect ourselves early in life. Experiences that were difficult, overwhelming, or never fully processed can continue to shape how we feel and respond in the present.
