About My Clients
It can be so hard to ask for help and I'm glad you're here. Knowing that something needs to be tended to or that you need some kind of change in your life is a big step. Even if you don't know exactly what is wrong, we can work together to figure out a good place to start. Commonly, we might work on understanding your identity, working on relationships, exploring grief, and processing trauma with a focus on liberation.
My Background and Approach
I believe that you are the expert on you. We are a team, collaborating together, to help ease the suffering and stress in your life. I bring a holistic view of people and therapy, meaning that there are many ways to think about the challenges in your life, and many aspects of life contributing to any distress, including oppressive systems in society. We will work together to sort though the hard things and find a way to grow and heal from distress and suffering. I strive to build a strong relationship with folks so that it feels safe enough to talk about tricky topics that don't seem to feel okay to talk about elsewhere. We will be grounded in the present even as we explore trauma, past events, and what the future might look like. I have a degree from Lesley University in Clinical Mental Health counseling and receive supervision from Carla Rosinski, PhD, LMHC. I am committed to learning and growing as a clinician to ensure that I'm up to date with the standard of care.
