About My Clients
My specializations and clinical interests include working with my beloved queer community, particularly people of trans experience. I treat people ages 13 and over who are experiencing gender dysphoria, questioning their gender, or are ready to pursue gender confirming medical procedures. I am also poly and kink friendly, experienced, and affirmative. I strive to make my clinical work anti-racist, and I am also sex worker friendly.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor of Science as a double major in Psychology and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Tulane University. I then went on to earn my MSW from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. I am currently a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York. I am competent and experienced in treating: -Mood disorders (such as depression and anxiety) -Adjustment issues (such as big life transitions), particularly related to LGBTQ family dynamics -LGBTQ family building -Issues or dysphoria related to sexuality or gender, including support letters for gender confirming medical procedures -Trauma and PTSD -Substance use disorders, with a special focus on co-occuring mental illness
