About My Clients
I work primarily from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) framework. The emphasis is often on helping my clients challenge and restructure their unhelpful beliefs that lead to distress, as well enhancing their communication skills, building self-confidence, and developing healthier coping skills. Therapy is actively tailored to fit my clients' goals.
My Background and Approach
I believe that the therapeutic journey is one that begins with stepping out of one's comfort zone and welcoming change. I make diligent efforts to create a safe space for my clients to openly process vulnerable topics. I work hard to build a close alliance with my clients as well as a space that reflects my nonjudgmental and welcoming stance. I specialize in working with pre-teens, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, adjustment disorders, and suicidal ideation. I also provide therapy for issues that relate to family conflict, divorce, and self-esteem.
