About My Clients
Are you seeking to better understand yourself and how your past impacts who you are today and how you interact with the world and people around you? Have you been seeking ways to overcome behavioral or substance misuse? We are constantly learning and growing and gaining a deeper understanding of why we act and think the way we do. As a therapist, I seek to help my clients gain a wholistic and deeper understanding of their individual story and how their past directly impacts who they are today.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with trauma, addictions, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and those seeking to understand their personal story. I am both a licensed professional counselor and a licensed addictions counselor. I have been trained in EMDR therapy and practice it with clients who feel stuck by trauma or negative behaviors/thoughts. I seek to help clients better understand how their mind, body, spirit, and relationships impact and shape who they are and what their healing and growth look like. I firmly believe that relationships and community are vital to growth and recovery and will help clients connect with their community in a deeper and more meaningful way. I believe that “no significant change occurs without significant relationships.”
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all individuals are worthy of respect, care, and capable of radical growth and healing. I seek to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental space where they can share their story without fear of judgment or condemnation. We all have a unique and remarkable story that we are sharing with the world around us. I believe that these stories are part of the larger tapestry that interweaves the stories together and tells a greater story of humanities growth and resilience. While your story may feel insignificant or marred by trauma, addiction, grief, etc., it is a story worth knowing and telling. I believe that each individuals story is valuable and capable of being impacted by personal growth and healing.
