Solution-focused therapy is a goal-directed collaborative approach to psychotherapeutic change that is conducted through direct observation of clients' responses to a series of precisely constructed questions. Getting to the heart of your issue in a direct and time-focused manner is the goal in this type of therapy. Usually limited in sessions, SFBT is limited to specific issues that are able to be addressed quickly. Appropriate for coaching-type sessions.

More of a traditional "talk therapy" session, engaged in conversational communication that allows the therapist and client to both ask questions and give feedback, still in an unbiased and non-judgemental environment. Narrative therapy is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help people identify their values and the skills and knowledge they have to live these values, so they can effectively confront whatever problems they face.

CBT is based on thoughts - behaviors - feelings. In this type of therapy, the goal is to shift the behavior in order to change the subsequent feelings about the situation. Through practice and thought restructuring, the goal is for this to become habit the client can use throughout their life.

Existential therapy focuses on free will, self-determination, and the search for meaning—often centering on you rather than on the symptom. The approach emphasizes your capacity to make rational choices and to develop to your maximum potential. Primary focus on life-enhancing experiences like relationships, love, caring, commitment, courage, creativity, power, will, presence, spirituality, individuation, self-actualization, authenticity and acceptance.
