About My Clients
I take a collaborative approach, prioritizing the goals that bring you to therapy. Although we may brainstorm options for change together, you are ultimately the one responsible for choosing the changes you want in your life. We will work together to identify your unique strengths that can help solve problems, while being mindful of systemic issues that impact you. I am especially interested in working with clients who are struggling with family of origin issues or religious deconstruction.
My Background and Approach
my approach to therapy is systemic and relational, understanding you as a product of your family, culture, religion and/or spirituality, and any other system you are a part of. I pull from Bowenian therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, all infused with a feminist lens. I am currently a student intern supervised by Dana Paik-Simerly, MA LMHC, license #LH611102837 at Cascades Wellness Center.
