About My Clients
I serve clients that deal with difficult situations and help adjust to their busy life style. If you are a person who takes on many roles like being a parent or caregiver, I can provide helpful ways to manage any challenges. I always remind my clients that there are never alone and seeking help is a first brave step. I enjoy giving support especially with individuals and families that struggle with depression, anxiety, eating disorder, ADHD, trauma, life adjustment, and communication issues.
My Background and Approach
My approach tends to vary depending on what my client or family needs. I establish treatment goals along with helpful techniques to practice outside our sessions. I have worked with many different ages (children, adolescents, adults, families). I do have specialize training with depression, anxiety, ADHD, brief trauma, and eating disorders. I also provide sessions in English and Spanish. What matters to me the most is knowing whether or not we can be a good fit. I want my clients to feel that they are getting the best quality of services. I know that coming to see someone can be the first difficult step, and that we tend to have mixed feelings and emotions. Just remember that this is about you and having a safe telehealth space to talk about any struggles. If you would like to learn more about my services I be happy to offer a short phone call with you even before scheduling an initial appointment, because a good fit is important in a therapeutic relationship that will benefit you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone can continue to learn and grow in life. I value the importance of the body, mind, and faith especially when we face those challenges and amazing successes. Mental health issues are nothing to be ashamed of and with the right amount of support, you can feel better again. I became a licensed clinical psychologist because I want to serve and be there for my clients no matter how difficult their life situations can be. Through my therapy sessions, I want to make sure that you feel safe, heard, and supported through the process. I value teamwork in the sense that we work together to establish goals and techniques that best fit for you. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside for a short hike or swim, go to church, volunteer work, or explore a new place. At home I enjoy cooking, or doing mindful yoga. I also love to spend time with my partner, family, and friends when we are together. Weekend nights tend to be for movies, dancing, or finding something fun to do.
