You know you are ready to choose yourself but aren't sure where to start. You know that this time wishing you had a magic wand to fix everything isn't going to work. In order to make the changes you want in your life you know you are ready to invest the resources necessary for true transformation. You are ready to work with someone who takes a holistic approach to who you are and the cultures and systems in which you operate.
My Background and Approach
I love learning and adding to my toolbox. There isn't a one-size-fits all approach to therapy and my toolbox reflects that. You have also been using your tools and we can work together to decide which ones still fit, and which ones need to be traded out (aka, a strengths-based approach). My goal is to help you dive deep into understanding yourself (past and present) so that you can decide how you want to write the next chapter.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have a story and that that story deserves to be heard. I also believe that paid work/career and personal life cannot be separated. We all bring paid work home with us and take personal stuff to work, both metaphorically (i.e. constant worrying outside of working hours about that project that's due to the client by Friday) and realistically (thinking about that argument you had with your partner/friend last night and now you can't concentrate at work). This belief fuels my advocacy at a systems level for topics like: wage transparency, living wages, parental leave, flexible schedules psychologically and physically safe workplaces, and truly inclusive workplaces. I also believe in having fun, for me that's cooking, reading a good book, laughing with my friends and exploring new places.
