About My Clients
I primarily work one-on-one with adults facing challenges related to self-worth, substance use, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Many of my clients are either new to therapy or have previously engaged in traditional "talk therapy" and are now seeking a deeper, more transformative experience. They come ready to be challenged, to create meaningful change, and to address the root causes of their struggles—not just the surface symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I’m passionate about normalizing mental health care and encouraging people to view therapy as a regular part of overall well-being—a “check-up from the neck up.” While we often prioritize physical health through diet, exercise, and sleep, our emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being are just as vital. As a counselor, my goal is to understand your experience from your perspective, offering empathy, a safe and supportive space, open ears, and a non-judgmental heart. I aim to equip you with practical skills to help navigate life’s inevitable ups and downs with greater balance and resilience. Clinically, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered, and strengths-based approaches. When appropriate, I also incorporate holistic, mind-body practices to support healing on a deeper level.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe in the power of taking charge of your own life. If we’re not satisfied with where we are, it’s up to us to make changes. As a dedicated therapist, my passion lies in helping clients reach their desired goals and create the life they want. My greatest concern is that I may be wasting your time or money, which is why I take an active, engaged approach in our work together. I challenge my clients to sit with discomfort and face difficult emotions, knowing that this is often the key to lasting transformation.
