About My Clients
My ideal client seeks change but feels stuck, constantly battling their inner critic. We may appear outwardly successful, but inside... we are hiding pain, guilt, shame, and feelings of inadequacy. Attempting to balance family, career, adulting—the stress can be overwhelming. We deserve better than to continue in this exhausting cycle. A life of wellness is possible and achievable.
My Background and Approach
"How can I help?" was my mantra before I saw it on Netflix's New Amsterdam. Helping people achieve emotional wellness is my calling. It is my desire to help you create the long lasting change you are seeking. I focus on stress management, coping with life changes, and handling emotions. Together, we'll understand how your past influences your present and tackle it. It has been my experience that there are endless techniques, interventions, and tools out there for managing emotions and I believe that healing the "inner" self is key to emotional stability. I mainly use CBT, psychoeducation, and EMDR techniques in therapy. It may be a little "wooo" to say but feeling an emotion in your body, identifying it, and naming it can be game changing. As often as we search for answers in our heads, we rarely find them, we have to drop into our bodies for that...I can help you do that !
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it isn’t about what’s wrong with you, it’s about what happened to you...not many people are among us, live a life unscathed. That's why healing is the inner self is the ultimate goal for long term recovery. I believe laughter is powerful healer, I use it appropriately in therapy. I am approachable and honest. My face is super readable, I could never win at poker. My Christian faith is very important to me. I absolutely love volunteering in my community with veterans. I truly look forward to meeting with you. If for any reason and we are not a good fit for any reason, I will do my very best to help you find a therapist who is a good fit.
