About My Clients
I work with pre-teens, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment to life changes. I find that my clients of all ages are interesting, smart, creative, and capable people. I enjoy helping them find their particular, special place and perspective.
My Background and Approach
I aim to strike a balance of supportive reflection and insight with practical strategies for growth. We utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with EMDR. Attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and neuroplasticity inform my approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve been a practicing social worker since 2010. I have a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s in History from the University of Maryland. I studied dance through college (I love the Philadelphia Ballet). I earned a comprehensive Pilates certification from Polestar Pilates in 2005. Effective self-expression and creativity are important aspects of our work at Relational Creatures.
