About My Clients
If you struggle with passive or aggressive communication, anxiety, or managing your emotions in general, I am here to support you. With the use of evidenced-based techniques and a holistic approach to treatment, there are a number of ways to help you and/or your family communicate effectively, manage anxiety and regulate intense emotions.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is person-centered, meaning I engage your own natural abilities, creative power and inner wisdom to support your therapeutic goals. Using my experience with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), functional family therapy (FFT), and positive psychology, each session focuses on practical ways to evolve your thoughts and actions so that you are effectively in alignment with your goals. I grew up in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Mercer University with a BA in Psychology, and later graduated from Clayton State University with a Masters in Clinical Counseling Psychology. I began my career as a therapist in New York shortly afterwards and have recently returned to school to work on my PhD in Clinical Psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an empathic and non-judgmental clinician, my personal philosophy is that all people are worthy of feeling safe and respected. This is the foundation of my approach to each and every client. I believe that every person is on a unique personal journey in life and I feel privileged to be one of many helping hands along ones life journey. My life has inspired me to work towards my own healing and the constant evolution of self-identified wellbeing, which is why I am so passionate about supporting others to do the same.
