About My Clients
Are you feeling like you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop? Like one more thing on your plate will be the last thing you can possibly hold? Or maybe you're feeling disconnected from your world, yourself, your community. These may be trauma or stress symptoms and I'm here to both help and relate to your struggles. I provide gender and queer affirming care for my own community as well as trauma-informed care for those with experiences in religious trauma and spiritual abuse.
My Background and Approach
I use an eclectic, trauma-informed approach to therapy. I draw on somatic psychotherapy, lots of psychoeducation, EMDR, parts work, light on the CBT and DBT, and existential therapy. I believe, first and foremost, that therapy has to be on your terms. I'm here to walk with you through trauma recovery, connection to and understanding of yourself, and navigation of the challenges of life. I have been honing my trauma-informed therapy skills my whole career and am continuing to learn new and creative ways to help you through trauma related challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have had the privilege to serve the queer community for about three years now and have found working within my own community very meaningful. I am dedicated to anti racist, anti capitalist, and anti ableist values and bring those with me into the therapy space. Community building can be integral to our work together as I believe interconnectedness and mutual support can be powerful healing tools.
