About My Clients
I especially enjoy working with children, teens, and young adults who may be dealing with anxiety, OCD, big emotions, life changes, or simply trying to understand themselves a little better. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. I want our work together to feel genuine and collaborative, while giving you space to talk through what’s going on and find what actually works for you.
My Background and Approach
Therapy with me is collaborative and shaped around who you are and what brings you in. I don’t expect every client to respond to the same approach, so we’ll spend time figuring out what works for you. With younger clients, that may mean incorporating games, activities, or creativity into our sessions rather than expecting them to sit and talk for an hour. With teens and young adults, I want therapy to be a place where we can talk openly about what’s actually going on in your life and work toward changes that feel realistic. My background includes working with children and families in both community and mental health settings, and I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida State University. I draw from evidence-based approaches while continuing specialized training in areas including OCD. Most importantly, I want you to feel like therapy is something we’re doing together, not something being done to you.
