About My Clients
Life’s transitions can be overwhelming, often straining your most important relationships. Whether you're navigating a difficult period in your relationship, supporting a child struggling with anxiety or a major life change, or feeling our family drifting apart, these moments can leave you feeling lost and uncertain, unsure of how to restore harmony for yourself or those you love. I help navigate these emotional waters, creating space for discovery and healing.
My Background and Approach
Imagine a space where your family can process emotions, heal, and grow closer together. Envision your child discovering the tools they need to face their challenges with confidence. Think of the joy in reconnecting with your partner, deepening understanding, and fostering intimacy. I work with individuals, couples, and families to create that nurturing space—a place where love and communication flourish, even during the most trying times. My therapy style is experiential, with focus on family of origin information and issues. In our first session, we will explore what brings you to therapy, applying developmentally appropriate approaches. For example, a family with children or an individual child may engage in play therapy. In subsequent sessions, we will delve into relational dynamics, experiences, and the emotions that arise. My clients appreciate that I provide more than just strategies but foster empathy, emotional healing, and deeper connections.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive for inclusivity and an attitude that acknowledges inherent cultural privilege. Among other things, I am white, a cisgender female, grew up in a small town in Texas and lived in NYC for eight years before moving to Denver. I acknowledge that my lived experience cannot include certain experiences. While I strives to understand and be of service to the community at large, I humbly acknowledges that she is always learning. I welcome diversity in all abilities, races, body sizes, sexualities, genders, and religions. Conversations of power and privilege are welcome. These conversations are not expected from clients in service to me, the therapist, but invited in hopes of being of further service to clients.
