Many seek counseling to heal from past events and reduce anxiety or depressive symptoms. I specialize in treating all of the above! Additionally, I help those who are looking for guidance and growth towards a happier, more present, and healthier life through mindfulness -focused methods emphasizing the importance of health in all areas- mental, physical, and spiritual.
My Background and Approach
As a human being, I recognize the importance of caring for the physical, psychological, and spiritual parts of a person and guide my counseling approach towards facilitating healing and growth in all areas. First and foremost, I focus on creating a safe and trusting relationship. I allow the client (you!) to direct the flow of the session and encourage you to embody the catalyst for change. I integrate various theories of counseling/ life coaching including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existentialism, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other mindfulness-focused approaches. Often times, we as humans, get stuck in the depths of our negative minds which leaves us feeling lost and alone . Through counseling, I help remind people of who we are beneath the chaos of the mind, see life from an alternative perspective, and rediscover the beauty of the here and now.
