About My Clients
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship and communication issues, social skills issues, trauma, OCD, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Therapy is a partnership and is hard work but with consistency and perseverance real change can be made. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and grounding techniques you will begin to be able to control your thoughts instead of them controlling your mood and behaviors
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is strength based and interactive. My approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, attachment, object relational, and psychodynamic approaches. I will shape our treatment goals to meet your unique specific needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I feel very grateful to have found my profession early on and be able to love my work. The foundation of therapy, regardless of the therapeutic framework, is the relationship and trust between the therapist and the client. I understand that trust is earned and relationships take time to grow. I believe in making therapy services accessible to all and this is why I continue to accept health insurance and continue to work in community mental health based programs.
