My Background and Approach

You will find me to be curious, kind, sensitive, empathetic, direct, compassionate, process oriented, and full of wonder. My background spans a lifetime of teaching, directing, and art-making with over half a decade of clinical experience in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, community, school, lived, and private practice levels of care. To the partners, couples, and families: I am deeply passionate about helping you find solutions, speak the unthinkable, and pick the phone back up on the relationships you’ve started. To the young adults, teenagers, and kiddos: it’s giving. I make big ideas straightforward, help you to find small, actionable steps for progress whenever possible, and believe that sometimes: simple is better. I also believe that sometimes, the best way to zoom in, is to zoom out. I can be passionate, free thinking, exploratory, mindful, sensitive, meditative, expansive, socratic, and radically accepting. Most important, I am loving and kind.

My Values as a Therapist

The paradox of embarrassment, guilt, and shame is that they all come in through the same door they have to exit through: our vulnerability. Scary, right? I understand. Here’s another paradox… that feeling of being othered… of sadness, isolation, & despair; that awful sensation of loneliness… that is a feeling that we all experience together. The only thing worse than suffering alone, is doing it in silence. Together, we will help you strengthen your present awareness, clarify your values, and cultivate intentional choices that are both authentic to the person you know yourself to be, and congruent to the person you seek to become. As a member of the queer, gender, and neurodiverse communities, I bring lived experience to clinical expertise, and prioritize deep commitments to systemic, body positive, and anti-xenophobic work. I'm positive that if I'm not a perfect fit, I personally know someone who is! Click the link (contact me)! I am always happy to help!
