About My Clients
I have successfully provided services for couples, families, and individuals facing mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, anger, relationship issues, grief, and PTSD, among others.
My Background and Approach
My role as your counselor is to support, encourage and assist you in doing the necessary work to discover, understand, heal and move forward. I use particular concepts and techniques selected from a broad range of therapies. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused, Behavior Therapy, Talk Therapy, and Mindfulness. I integrate these and other therapies with Biblical principles and a Christian worldview.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people come to counseling because they want to change their personal or family situation, solve a particular problem, or simply bring a healthier balance to their lives. Counseling is a joint effort, which cannot be successful without your hard work, energy and courage. The effort that you put forth directly impacts the effectiveness of counseling. Remember problems appear to worsen before they improve. The process can also, at times, be very challenging, difficult and even painful. However, the goal will always be to bring about some positive change.
