About My Clients

Are you caught in the grip of anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing? Does the burden of others' expectations, coupled with your own high standards, leave you feeling trapped? As the go-to person for advice and problem-solving, are you also playing the role of the "oldest daughter," carrying the weight of responsibility for everyone in your life? It's so hard, feeling like you're never enough until everyone else is taken care of. But what if I told you that you are enough, just as you are?

My Background and Approach

I bring a unique blend of personal understanding and professional expertise to support you through the challenges of "oldest daughter syndrome." As someone who has navigated similar struggles, I've developed a deep empathy for the emotional weight and complexities involved. With a background in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and many other modalities, I've honed my skills in helping clients break free from the cycle of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and the fear of never being enough. My approach is rooted in compassion and deep understanding, creating a comforting space for you to explore and express your needs. I take a person-centered approach to treatment, which means I know that you are the expert on you. You know what you need. I use my expertise in mental health to help you tap into your self expertise! We'll work as a team to help you meet your goals and increase your sense of calm, confidence, and capability.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm dedicated to boosting your self-worth, simplifying mental health care, and unraveling the quirks of your brain. Understanding the reasons behind your brain's actions is key to making everything click into place. In our sessions, my aim is to be a bridge between you and your brain, fostering understanding and compassion, sort of like a couples counselor. Our brains are never out to harm us; they just need regular updates, like a computer. Most of our beliefs form by age 7, and if we're operating off outdated beliefs, it's like using Windows 95 in a modern world. Remember, healing isn't a destination; it's a journey. Taking the time to heal your relationship with yourself is invaluable - after all, you're with yourself 24/7 for life. Let's make sure it's a loving and supportive relationship!
