About My Clients

I offer support to individuals, couples, and families who are feeling challenged or stuck. In our work together, my goal is to help you cultivate greater awareness, identify and discard unhelpful patterns, and create new avenues of change. I enjoy helping clients explore their identities and experiences in more depth in order to integrate more adaptive ways to heal from past wounds and live a more intentional and fulfilling life.

My Background and Approach

I view the therapeutic process from a person-centered and strengths-based perspective. Therapy with me is a collaborative space that positions you as the expert of your own life and honors your inherent sense of agency. I am trained to conceptualize problems from a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens, with an emphasis in upholding anti-racist and queer-affirming practices. My style is both individualistic and holistic, as I adapt my approach to each client's unique needs while focusing on the whole person and the systems they are embedded in. I deeply value the importance of our therapeutic relationship and aim to intentionally co-create a space where you feel safe, accepted, and understood.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am passionate about serving marginalized communities and leveraging my voice and privileges in the spaces I am part of. This includes both the therapy space and those outside of it. Much of my work is informed by my own lived experiences as a second-generation Chinese American woman and as someone who has struggled intimately with mental health. I actively engage in my own inner work as I firmly believe that my job as a therapist requires continual self-examination, accountability, and learning/unlearning. When I am not working, you can find me spending my time outdoors, making and trying new foods, playing piano, hosting game nights, or cuddling with my cat, Thor.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
