About My Clients
I am committed to providing online therapy to fit your schedule! I enjoy finding ways to connect with all of my clients and meet them where they are, whether it's an individual, couple, or an entire family. I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which is a therapeutic approach working with children ages 2-7 with behavioral challenges in the home or school. I also have extensive experience supporting foster and adoptive parents in their unique parenting role.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and chose to begin RISE Therapy Services to offer online therapy for individuals, children and families in Pennsylvania. I approach therapy from a systems approach because individuals are part of larger systems that influence how they navigate life. Therefore, I integrate partners and other family members into the therapeutic process. I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) which is an evidence-based therapy model targeting children ages 2-7 who have behavioral challenges. This therapeutic approach provides real-time coaching to parents and caregivers who may feel overwhelmed by the behaviors of their child in the home or school. I also desire to provide therapy to families who are engaged in the foster care or adoption system, to aid them as they navigate the beauties and challenges of this unique parenting role. I hope to meet you soon and begin this journey together!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an adolescent I struggled with depression and felt that my mental health was never validated or understood by those around me. Rather than receiving adequate support, I was just labeled as “angry.” In young adulthood I was able to access a better support system and began to make strides towards the person I am today. This is why I chose to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I believe that everyone deserves to be their true self and be known and accepted for who they are. I believe that we all have the ability to change and grow into who we desire to be. I strive to maintain a therapy practice that is welcoming and accepting of all.
