About My Clients
My ideal clients are adults and couples who are motivated and ready for meaningful change. I work well with individuals navigating substance use concerns, those who feel stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns or unsatisfying life circumstances. Many of the individuals I support are seeking greater self-awareness and are ready to make intentional changes that lead to healthier, more fulfilling lives. I also enjoy supporting couples across different stages of their relationships.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working in private practice and addiction treatment, supporting individuals struggling with substance use, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to help clients grow in self-awareness, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, reduce self-criticism, and develop greater self-compassion and acceptance. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including CBT, ACT, and EMDR. CBT helps identify and change unhealthy thought patterns, while ACT encourages clients to accept difficult emotions and live according to their values. I use EMDR with clients who feel stuck in the past or experience emotional and physical reactions rooted in unresolved trauma. For couples, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method to help partners navigate conflict more effectively, strengthen emotional connection, and work together as a team.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent dignity and worth, regardless of the decisions they have made or the challenges they have faced. At our core, I believe we all desire to be seen, known, and loved. Sometimes the ways we have learned to protect ourselves, whether through avoidance, unhealthy coping strategies, or patterns in relationships, can unintentionally keep us from experiencing the connection and healing we long for. I believe hope can exist even in situations that seem hopeless. Through my own therapeutic journey, I have experienced healing, growth, and freedom, which deepens my appreciation for the courage it takes to seek help. I understand that our early life experiences often shape how we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. Together, we can explore those influences and determine which beliefs and patterns continue to serve you and which may be holding you back.
