About My Clients
Over the years I have been fortunate to provide counseling services with a wide variety of clients such as youth, adults, couples and groups in counseling centers, schools, and nonprofit organizations. Along the way I have also had the pleasure of working with people exploring their gender identity (who I am), gender expression (what I choose to show to the world), and sexuality (who I love).
My Background and Approach
Finding a therapist that is a good match is such an important part of the healing process. I can offer a nonjudgmental, warm and caring environment to support decreased stress, increased self-esteem, new coping skills and improved relationship satisfaction through better understanding and communication. I will often draw from client centered, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, Gottman influenced and narrative therapy approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Are you or someone you love struggling with relationship issues, feeling overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, depressed, or stuck going around in circles with the same concerns? Even when we need it the most it can be so hard to ask for help. Did you know that just by beginning to look for help you have already taken the first step? I have found that so much of how we define ourselves and our relationships with others come from the stories that we tell ourselves and the meaning that we make from these stories.
