About My Clients
I specialize in evidence-based therapy for children, teens, and adults with anxiety, OCD, ARFID, and eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. I provide compassionate, goal-oriented care focused on improving quality of life and supporting lasting recovery. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in research-supported treatment to help clients build flexibility, confidence, and meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized training in the treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ARFID, and other eating disorders. My clinical background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches that support both symptom reduction and long-term recovery. I value collaboration, transparency, and pacing treatment in a way that feels supportive and sustainable. My therapeutic approach integrates Brainspotting, traditional Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and rumination-focused ERP. I focus on helping clients understand their symptom patterns, reduce avoidance and compulsive behaviors, and develop greater flexibility in how they respond to distressing thoughts and sensations. I offer telehealth services exclusively, which allows clients to engage in therapy from their own environment and supports in-the-moment exposure work in the spaces where symptoms most often occur.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are capable of change and growth at any stage of life. I do not view anxiety, OCD, or eating disorders as personal failures, but as learned patterns that often develop in response to fear, stress, or a need for safety. Because these patterns are learned, I believe they can also be unlearned and replaced with healthier, more flexible ways of coping. Recovery is possible, even when symptoms have been present for a long time. My beliefs are shaped by both clinical training and lived experience. I have personally struggled with anxiety and understand how consuming it can feel. Through my own therapy, I learned how to relate to anxiety differently so it no longer controlled my life. That experience informs the way I show up as a therapist, with empathy, patience, and hope. I believe therapy should be collaborative, transparent, and grounded in evidence-based care rather than shame or pressure. I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming treatment.
