About My Clients
Maybe you find yourself spiraling about birth or parenting decisions or that you can't find words for all of the seemingly contrasting emotions you feel in one day. You might feel unsure how to ask for help from others, or perhaps scared about how this new stage you're in will impact your relationships, work or sense of self. Or, maybe you feel numb and unsure how to crack beneath the surface - where the heck do I even start?!
My Background and Approach
Before starting my own practice, I worked with individuals and families in various outpatient mental health settings. I am trained as an EMDR therapist and have specific training in Perinatal Mental Health. I offer a space where you can explore the complexities of parenthood — the joy, the grief, the resentment, the love, the boredom, the identity shifts — without judgment. And, while parenthood may be a part of your identity, it is not all that you are. We will honor the many facets of self and explore how you can show up as a whole, fulfilled human in parenthood and beyond. The relationship and trust you build with your therapist is THE most important part of therapy. I offer various methods of evidence-based treatment: ACT which focuses on psychological flexibility, values and mindfulness; IFS which explores the parts that make you who you are; EMDR which targets symptoms of trauma; and EFT which focuses on cycles and emotions in relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in connection. Our relationships (past and present) shape how we experience ourselves, others, and the world. My role is not to “fix” you, but to collaborate with you and to bring curiosity, knowledge, and support as you reconnect with your own inner wisdom and strengths. I practice from a social justice–informed, anti-racist lens and strive to approach my work with cultural humility. Our struggles do not exist in a vacuum; they are shaped by social, cultural, and structural forces that affect families and caregivers in profound ways. Parenting while navigating systemic pressures, marginalization, and intersecting identities can create unique challenges, and these realities deserve to be acknowledged and honored in the therapy space. It is also important to note that I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome families of all identities, structures, and cultural backgrounds!
