About My Clients
Hi! My name is Allison, and I work with children ages 7+, teens, young adults, and families to foster wellness through therapy based on a belief that all individuals are capable of growth and change. My approach to counseling is grounded in the values of compassion, authenticity, and acceptance, paired with evidence-based interventions that meet your child or teen where they are and give them the tools they need to live a happy, fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidality and self-harm, behavior concerns, emotion regulation and sensory processing difficulties, grief, trauma, or adjustment concerns, I offer a warm, supportive therapeutic environment to express yourself and learn practical tools to achieve your goals. I utilize play therapy, CBT, DBT, sensory supports, mindfulness, and expressive arts in my therapeutic work. I feel especially called to work with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ youth and their families, and bring both lived experience and formal training to this work. In my therapy room, you are seen as your full self. It is an honor to join you on this journey!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of the therapy room, you can find me spending time with my loved ones and pets, spending time in nature, going to concerts, reading, and connecting with my community. My personal values and professional goals often overlap, and I strive to provide therapy for kids, teens, and young adults that is intersectional, trauma informed, affirming, and safe. For those seeking a therapist with shared lived experience, I am both neurodivergent and part of the LGBTQ community. I have worked with and value clients from all walks of life, and welcome anyone into the therapy space who feels that they could benefit from working with me.
