About My Clients

You want to talk about your loss but no one seems to get it. You've heard all the cliches, "they're in a better place," "everything happens for a reason," and even the inconceivable like "move on." But what about your pain? Emotions like anger and irritability? Your loss of normalcy, motivation, or your identity? You want to be seen, heard and understood, but don't know how to express that to others. I work with kids, teens and adults on processing all aspects of your grief.

My Background and Approach

I graduated from Regis University with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I also completed certifications in Depth Psychotherapy and Child & Adolescent Counseling. I use a combination of Depth, Person-Centered, and Grief-Companioning approaches and work with clients to customize individual care including use of various therapeutic activities. Grief is the natural response to loss and something that all individuals will experience during their lifetime, and every grief experience is unique in nature. With grief can come feelings of disbelief, despair and sadness, feeling lost and confused, feelings of anger, irritability, regret, anxiety and a general sense of being constantly overwhelmed. After loss, life is no longer the same, and working with a well trained Grief Counselor can provide opportunities for healing, growth and connection specifically aligned with your grief experiences. As a professional with specialized training in grief, I am happy to support you in this way.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Grief is a unique and individual experience that is important to honor. I’m a firm believer that a little help goes a long way when coping with life’s challenges, and grief can feel overwhelming and all-encompassing. Grief is not just an experience limited to death-loss, but any kind of loss or significant change can prompt grief, and all grief is deserving of support. I feel that it is important that individuals have a safe space to share their story and to be heard. Everyone is deserving of quality grief counseling support. The rapport between you and a counselor can be everything to feeling safe and to experience true growth and healing in the therapeutic process. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey.
