My Background and Approach
I am a collaborative therapist, and I believe my clients are the experts in their own lives. I have the education and skills to guide the client toward the kind of life they want to live, whether they want to heal from past trauma or learn to manage ongoing difficulties. I pride myself in helping clients heal past traumatic events by learning to tolerate symptoms while working to heal the root of the trauma. I help clients build mindfulness skills, learn emotion regulation tools, tolerate distress, communicate effectively, heal from childhood experiences, relationship problems, difficult family dynamics, and ultimately live the life they want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the earlier experiences we have in our life influence our strengths and weaknesses. Through processing these beliefs and healing from previous negative experiences, we are better able to live the kind of life we want to live.
