About My Clients
I work with teens and young adults in Wisconsin who are facing depression, anxiety, identity exploration, urges toward self-harm or suicidal thoughts. You might feel overwhelmed, unsafe inside your own skin, or unsure how to speak about what you are experiencing. Perhaps mood swings, stress, or parts of yourself feel too heavy or too hard to share and it can feel like you are completely alone. I want you to know that you are not alone and I am ready to listen and support you.
My Background and Approach
I use a strengths based, compassionate approach that honors you as a whole person. In our sessions I draw on evidence based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while offering validation, gentle challenge, empathy and occasional humor. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to work on trauma and related concerns. Together we explore what hurts, what is possible, and build practical coping skills and emotional tools for change. Through our work you may gain more confident, function better with daily living skills, and feel safer. You may gain insight into yourself, utilize coping skills, and reduce suffering. Over time you can grow toward greater stability, self-acceptance, and hope. I look forward to supporting you on your journey!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am proud to focus my work on supporting other people in the community. I believe mental health care is health care and everyone deserves the right to treatment. I support social justice issues and offer a safe space to process and explore important topics you find beneficial to explore in therapy together.
