About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples and families with ages ranging from older adults to children. I have special interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, sexual identity issues, and trauma. I also have interest in working with families undergoing separation/divorce and familial issues.
My Background and Approach
An essential beginning step in the therapy process is to build a positive relationship between client and therapist. Person-Centered Therapy is a foundation that is rooted in the importance of this relationship. I may use interventions such as mindfulness, play therapy, expressive art therapy, self-compassion, and emotion-regulation skills to help clients reach their goals. My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning I may use pieces of different theories to offer a unique and individualized therapy experience. I have experience working with children, adolescents and young adults, as well as families.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe for therapy to be the most beneficial, we will co-create goals based on the presenting concerns. I am optimistic that with a positive therapeutic relationship change can happen.
