About My Clients
I work with adults struggling with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. I am skilled at helping clients move towards peace, self-acceptance, and a life beyond their eating disorder. I also offer attachment-based family therapy for teens and young adults (12–25) and love working with families to rebuild trust and strengthen emotional bonds.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in California with a Ph.D. in MFT from Virginia Tech. My clinical experience ranges from outpatient therapy to higher levels of care, supporting individuals with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I also have extensive experience providing family therapy for adolescents and their caregivers. My approach is rooted in Attachment Theory, Family Systems, and Internal Family Systems, which focus on creating deep, meaningful shifts in how clients relate to themselves and others. I help clients build self-awareness, connect to their emotions and bodies, and shift patterns that are no longer serving them. In family therapy, I specialize in strengthening emotional bonds between caregivers and adolescents.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach to eating disorders is grounded in an anti-diet, Health at Every Size (HAES) framework that honors body diversity and challenges diet culture.
