About My Clients
You’re great at pretending things are fine, that you’re managing the workload that comes with being a mom and a partner. But underneath, you feel like you can’t do anything right. You try to say ‘no’ to extra tasks or invites due to the stress but the ‘no’ never seems to stick. This leaves you wondering how to get your own needs met while meeting the needs of your family. You have a pattern of prioritizing others over yourself which leaves you feeling overwhelmed and resentful toward your family
My Background and Approach
Through EMDR Therapy, I help moms regain their power and find their voice. I focus on exploring how past experiences and pain show up in the present as avoidance, anger and self doubt. My passion is helping moms build their confidence and enjoy motherhood. Being a mom is tough, your inner dialogue doesn’t have to be. Your journey into motherhood has been stressful. It has triggered some of your past experiences that left you feeling unworthy and unable to get what you want out of life. If you’ve read this far, something in my profile has resonated with you. Let this be your moment to take a chance on you. Your experience in motherhood matters and you deserve to be heard.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity to succeed and thrive, whatever that may look like for them. The lens I look through when I'm working with clients, and generally in the world, is that everyone's nervous system is trying its best to keep them safe. To me, this means that the common behaviors folks show up in therapy to address (avoidance, people pleasing, isolation, etc) are rooted in past experiences that are being activated in the present. I don’t look at people, nor their behaviors, as bad. There are no “bad” ways of being, no bad actions. Instead, I view things in terms of effective and ineffective short term and long term. Our bodies want us to survive and be protected, and sometimes the ways we’ve learned to do that are no longer helpful. A little bit more about me, I'm a California native now living in Ohio (practicing in OH and NY). I love dancing, karaoke, all things 90s/early 2000s. I love crafting and creating!
