About My Clients
At Art of the Heart, I welcome individuals that are eager to heal, grow, and express themselves through a variety of expressive and creative processes. Together, we can work towards alleviating unwanted symptoms, explore the root of your behaviors and emotions, and work towards greater life satisfaction through creative expression.
My Background and Approach
Allie (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC) and Registered Art Therapist- Provisional (ATR-P) living and working in Indianapolis, Indiana. Allie has a passion for helping others on their journey through life, assisting each person to find their most authentic self and break free from anything holding them back from doing so. In addition to her career as a therapist, Allie finds joy in thrifting, all things cats, crafting, gardening, the outdoors and traveling. As a counselor and Art Therapist, Allie approaches her work with clients with a combination of talk and creative processes. Unlike other clinical approaches to therapy, using creative expression and Art Therapy interventions, allows one to tap into their unconscious and nonverbal processing for deeper self understanding. I believe that each individual possesses what they need for healing. My role is to create a space to allow you to safely find, explore and strengthen that inner healer.
