About My Clients
Are you struggling to feel whole again after a trauma? Maybe you are having a hard time feeling like yourself. Maybe you're lonely, sad, anxious, or angry. I can help you to heal and become you again. I work with teens and adults who are healing from trauma. I see clients that are both English and Spanish-speaking. I also conduct mental health evaluations for clients in immigration proceedings.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I use a mix of modalities that best fit the client. I believe that every person is unique, and therefore needs a unique approach to therapy. I believe it is important to not only talk and access our minds, but to also integrate the body into the therapeutic process. I draw from Brainspotting, Internal Family Sytems (parts work), Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Mindfulness, Play and Art Therapies, all grounded in a Client-Centered, Strengths-based perspective. I also infuse a social justice lens into my therapeutic practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has a bright light inside of them. Sometimes, it may feel very dim or even extinguished. Maybe the world told you it was not there because you are a woman, identify as LGBTQ, or are a member of the global majority. Or maybe your childhood or traumatic experiences made it go dim. I partner with you to help you find that light and to let it shine brightly within you, your community, and your world.
