About My Clients
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced complex trauma and torture. I am able to complete psychological evaluations for children and asylum seekers. I understand the balance needed to connect with youth, build relationships with the systems that surround youth, and the challenges of parenthood.
My Background and Approach
There are moments in ilife when we may feel overwhelmed and need to reach out to someone outside our usual support system. My hope is to develop a sense of mutual trust in order to strengthen your internal resources. We work together to discover your own strengths and resolve difficulties together. I assist individuals through adverse experiences helping them to understand what has happened, how to cope, and create meaning. Historical trauma, an understanding of schools, sense of spirituality, and familial values can play a vital role in therapy.
