About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, complex/intergenerational trauma, identity exploration, body image challenges, codependency, and relational pain. I'm especially passionate about supporting Black individuals, people of color, LGBTQ+ clients, and those for whom spirituality and faith are central to who they are — because your full self belongs in the therapy room, not just your presenting problem. Healing happens when you feel genuinely seen — not just heard.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in the belief that the mind, body, environment, and culture are deeply interconnected — and that lasting healing requires attending to all of them. I draw from somatic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, person-centered therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and existential and relational frameworks — not as a checklist, but as tools I tailor to what each person actually needs. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is a vehicle for healing, and I bring genuine warmth, directness, and cultural curiosity to every session. I hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and a B.A. in Psychology from Montclair State University. I am a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) with three years of clinical experience, currently providing services under licensed clinical supervision within SHIFT Your Journey® Mental Health Counseling — a culturally responsive group practice serving clients across New York, Connecticut, and beyond.
